Bran Hambric was found locked in a bank vault at six years old, with no memory of his past. For years, he has lived with one of the bankers, wondering why he was left behind — until one night, when he is fourteen, he is suddenly confronted by a maddened creature, speaking of Bran’s true past and trying to kidnap him. Bran finds that he is at the center of a plot which started years before he was even born: the plot of a deadly curse his mother created…and one that her former masters are hunting for him to complete. Haunted by the spirit of his mother’s master and living in a city where magic is illegal, Bran must undo the crimes of his past…before it is too late.

This is the first-ever instrumental I composed inspired by the Bran Hambric series. It was written after reading the prologue of The Farfield Curse, before it was released in stores on September 9, 2009. This piece introduces the listener to the main theme that came to my mind for the character of Bran, and it is echoed throughout many of the following tracks.
Dying Breath

A bonus track inspired by the end of the prologue of Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse, during the part where Emry has to quickly decide how to save Bran, who is at the time six-years-old. I imagined that if she'd had any time at all to sing a lullaby to her sleeping son, knowing she wouldn't be returning to him, this is what she might sing.
This is the music that ran through my head after reading chapter 19 of Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse by Kaleb Nation. In this scene, Bran is walking down a long hallway in Ady's house, where he soon discovers why gnome art is different from anything he has ever seen before.
NOTE: This piece is purposefully reminiscent of Kaleb Nation's prologue instrumental song Emry's Escape. It also has a similar feel to The Box In The Bookstore, another one of Kaleb's originals.
This piece of music is specifically inspired by the moment in Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse when Bran is introduced to the Winx. Ady tells Bran to "embrace the magic," while the Winx investigate his mystical energy, trying to decipher what missiv he is.
If this piano solo were to represent a scene in a film for Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse, I imagine it to take place while Astara is finishing her story about the Farfield Curse, keeping the promise she made to Emry. It is where Bran is finally realizing why his mother was a criminal and also indicates the point where he begins to accept that fact.
This is music inspired by the moment in Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse when Bran discovers the magical secret of moonlight when it touches the Hambric necklace that belonged to his mother.
This is a very short instrumental piece describing the feelings that both Bran and Rosie go through at the moment when Rosie leaves the Wilomas house for good. She tells Bran, whom she believes is sleeping, that it's only "goodbye for now".
